Teresa Meade, the Florence B. Sherwood Professor of History and Culture, presented a paper at the 2019 American Historical Association annual meeting in Chicago. Her paper, “The Mythical Past and Present of a Word,” was part of a presidential panel, “Neoliberalism: The History and Future of a Word." She also recently presided over the annual meeting of the Journal of Women's History as president of its Board of Trustees.
A new book by George Shaw, professor emeritus of geology, was published. “Great Moments in the History of Life” is part of the Springer Praxis series in popular science.
