Dan Venning, assistant professor of theater and dance, recently published an article, “Manifestos for Theatre and Nation” in PAJ: A Journal of Performance and Art. The article examines Julian Rosefeldt’s “Manifesto,” a thirteen-screen film installation starring Cate Blanchett, which appeared at the Park Avenue Armory in NYC in 2016-17. The COVID-19 pandemic has renewed national media interest in research by Josh Hart, associate professor of psychology, which suggests that people with certain personality traits and cognitive styles are more likely to believe in conspiracy theories. Discover and Men’s Health magazines highlighted the research, published in September 2018 in the Journal of Individual Differences.
