Carol Weisse, the Ronald M. Obenzinger Professor of Psychology and director of Health Professions, had a paper accepted to the journal OMEGA-Journal of Death and Dying along with co-author Kelly Melekis, associate professor and chair of the Social Work department at Skidmore College. The paper, “Engaging Future Healthcare Professionals as Caregivers to Hospice Patients in Comfort Care Homes,” is the fourth article stemming from their Care and Support in Aging Communities with a focus on end-of-life care collaboration that was originally sponsored by the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, from an award by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

Brian Huang ’21, a midshipman in the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, recently received one of the top ROTC honors, the Chief of Naval Operations Distinguished Midshipman Graduate Award. It is given to “the graduating Navy or Marine Corps option senior who demonstrates the highest standards of leadership, academic and military performance within a Navy ROTC unit.”
