“The Visitors,” an oil painting by Tina Lincer, associate director of Communications and Marketing, was selected for inclusion in an exhibition at the Clement Art Gallery in Troy, N.Y. With a range of works by more than 30 artists from the U.S., Canada, England and Germany, “The Witching Hour” addresses themes of magic and the macabre. The opening reception is Friday, Oct. 29, 6-8 p.m. during Troy Night Out. The show runs through Nov. 21.

An article by Lewis Davis, the Thomas Armstrong Professor of Economics, was accepted for publication in the Journal of Economics, Management and Religion. “On the Origin of Religious Values: Does Italian Weather Affect Individualism in Bolivia?” provides evidence that weather patterns in the country in which a religion develops affect the values held by its believers.
