Research interests

My research focuses on peer relationships during adolescence, with an emphasis on social support. I am particularly interested in the ways that adolescent friends discuss problems with each other and how the ways they provide support to each other are associated with adjustment (e.g., depressive symptoms). I use both survey and observational methods for examining how adolescent friends interact both in-person and in their digital communication.
