The Senior Thesis in Sociology is a capstone research project that allows students to explore a topic of their choice through original research and sociological analysis. Guided by a faculty advisor, students develop and execute independent projects that demonstrate their ability to engage with sociological theory, methods, and critical inquiry. The thesis culminates in a formal written paper and an oral defense.
