An ideal location
Union is located in Schenectady, N.Y., a short drive to Albany, the state's capital, and only a few hours to New York City, Boston and Montreal. Schenectady is home to an eclectic mix of restaurants, Proctors, one of the finest restored vaudeville theaters anywhere, and the gleaming Mohawk Harbor complex. Just a short distance from campus there are numerous nature preserves, parks and paths. The Adirondack, Berkshire, Catskill and Green Mountains, all within a two hours drive, provide additional outdoor recreational opportunities, including some of the best hiking and skiing on the East Coast.
