Courses

He has taught a wide range of courses in Greek and Roman literature and in Greek and Roman history. He has frequently been Faculty Director of Union’s Term Abroad program in Athens, Greece.

Research Interests

His research interests are in the areas of Greek and Roman history and historiography and he has published a number of articles and co-edited two books on topics in those fields. He has recently completed a text with commentary on the Life of Augustus by Nicolaus of Damascus. He has been a Junior Fellow at the Center for Hellenic Studies, a Visiting Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford and the recipient of a Research Fellowship from National Endowment for the Humanities.
