Elizabeth Dobson-Davis joined Union College in 2012 where she served as the EHS Compliance Officer for overseeing Chemical, Laboratory, Radiation and Laser Safety. In 2018, Dobson-Davis became Director of EHS and oversees Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Chemical Science Safety. With a dedicated staff, EHS ensures the College is compliant with local, New York State and federal health and safety regulations.
Prior to joining Union College, Dobson-Davis worked for various environmental engineering firms. During this time she managed hazardous remediation projects, including implementing Health & Safety Plans, and interacting with state and federal regulatory agencies. She is a Certified Chemical Hygiene Officer with the National Registry of Certified Chemists and a member of the American Chemical Society. She holds a B.S. degree in Geology from Michigan State University, and a M.S. in Geology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where she specialized in hydrogeology.
