Dr. Eileen D. Barrett '95 has been named chair of the Board of Regents of the American College of Physicians. She is an internal medicine physician hospitalist in Albuquerque, N.M.

Jennifer M. Paster '98 was sworn in as Brookline’s chief of police in May. She has served the department for 23 years.

Dr. Ira Schwartz '72 has been named Emory University's Exemplary Teacher of the Year. He is an associate professor of family and preventive medicine, among other roles at the university.

Elias Ottens '22 recently donated blood stem cells through Gift of Life. His donation saved the life of a man battling myelodysplastic disorder.

Desiree Plata '03, MIT associate professor of civil and environmental engineering, was recently featured on "Curiosity Unbounded." The podcast is a conversation between MIT President Sally Kornbluth and newly-tenured faculty members.

Dr. Smita Carroll '13 was recently interviewed by Newsweek for the story, "Texas Judge's Mifepristone Ruling Questioned by Doctors." She is an OB-GYN in New Mexico and a Physicians for Reproductive Health fellow.

Richard Fox '00 recently received the American Chemical Society Division of Organic Chemistry’s Mid-Career Investigator Award. He is scientific director at Bristol Myers Squib.

Lisa A. Pratico '88 was recently featured in Architecture & Governance’s Women in Architecture Spotlight. She is VP of enterprise architecture and enterprise integration services at HP, Inc.
