Project Summary: The George I. Alden Trust has generously awarded Union College a grant for the Karp Hall renovations. The collaborative computing classroom, prominently displayed on the first floor near the entryway, will be named in honor of George I. Alden Trust. This classroom will feature high definition projection screen, Blu-ray player and various seating configurations. Instructors will easily access and control the classroom technology from the touch screen panel situated within the teaching podium. Karp Hall has become an interdisciplinary hub of higher learning for the entire campus. The creative use of formal and informal spaces allows for greater academic engagement within the humanities and across disciplines and offers a dynamic environment for teaching, learning and scholarly pursuits.
