Schaffer Library has partnered with ITS to refresh our computers in the Library. Updates to all computers housed in the Library will occur on Tuesday, December 9th and Wednesday, December 10th.
What will change:
- The desktop background will feature our Schaffer Library owl logo and we are adding a shortcut for users to easily submit ITS Help Desk tickets.
- The username and password will also be updated to align with ITS security standards.
- Most notably, our Library computers will refresh after 30 minutes of inactivity, wiping any documents saved to the computer and resetting the machine for the next user. Signs on our computers provide the new login information, and remind users to save their documents to the cloud or a thumb drive before leaving the work station.
