Rajashree Mazumder, assistant professor of history, presented her research at “Transnational Southeast Asia: People and Ideas in Motion,” a symposium organized by the Southeast Asia Research Group of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her talk was titled, “The Indian Diaspora in Yangon, Myanmar: The Changing Landscape of a City and a Minority Community."

Ann Anderson, the Agnes S. MacDonald Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Mary Carroll, the Dwane W. Crichton Professor of Chemistry, have co-authored a chapter, “Monolithic Aerogel Preparation,” in the book, Translucent Silica Aerogel: Properties, Preparation and Applications. An aerogel window prototype, constructed at Union with funding from NYSERDA, appears on the cover of the book.

“Son of Prince Edward County,” a new book by Twitty Styles, professor emeritus, is now on sale at the Union College bookstore.

Vanessa Raskin ‘19 and Emmanuela Oppong ‘19 presented their thesis research at the Northeast Regional Society for Developmental Biology meeting at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Mass. The students were accompanied by Nicole Theodosiou, associate professor of biochemistry.
