Kristin Bidoshi, professor of Russian and director of the Russian and East European Studies Program, led the featured workshop “Designing, Building and Evaluating Custom AI Tools for Beginning-Level Russian Language Learners” in the stream “New Approaches to Artificial Intelligence in Slavic Studies” at the annual American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages and Literatures Conference earlier this month in New Orleans. She guided faculty in creating small, task-specific AI tools for language learning.

Kimmo Rosenthal, professor emeritus of mathematics, published the essay "The Threshold of the Spiritual in Art" in the journal The RavensPerch. The piece explores how reading, viewing art and listening to music can have a secular, spiritual component. It references the writings of Marcel Proust and recent Nobel Prize winner László Krasznahorkai, as well as the Bach cello suites as performed by Anastasia Kobekina.

Carol Weisse, the Ronald M. Obenzinger Professor of Psychology/Director of Health Professions, along with Jordan Whittier '25 and colleagues Kelly Melekis and Kate Bidgood from the University of Vermont, published "Hyperactive Delirium During Hospice Patients’ Last Week of Life in a Home Care Setting" in the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
