Mark Dallas, professor of political science, participated and presented research in a workshop at Brown University on the topic "Reshoring Semiconductor Production: Technology Roadmaps, Shifting Supply Lines, and Lessons for Public Policy."

Lewis Davis, the Thomas Armstrong Professor of Economics, presented “Beyond Policy Nihilism: Does policy impact depend on culture?” co-authored with Yang Jiao, at the Public Choice Society Meetings on March 13. The paper provides evidence that cultural values affect how people respond to unemployment benefits. This outcome serves as the basis for arguing that the same policy may generate different outcomes in different cultural settings.

Pravini S. Fernando, assistant professor of physics and astronomy, co-authored the research paper “Enhanced Piezoelectric Effect in P(VDF-TrFE) through Synergistic Templating by PEDOT:PSS and Paper,” published in the American Chemical Society journal Applied Electronic Materials. The article was written in collaboration with researchers at Binghamton University. The work demonstrates an enhanced piezoelectric response in a sustainable, paper-based composite, highlighting a promising approach for flexible and environmentally friendly electronic devices.

Jillmarie Murphy, the William D. Williams Professor of English and director of Interdisciplinary Studies, presented a paper, "The Neurobiology of in utero Trauma and the Irish Potato Famine," at The Capital District Feminist Studies Conference. The conference was held at Russell Sage College March 25.
