About Brooke

Brooke earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Colgate University, her Master’s Degree in Psychology (with a focus on Psychopharmacology) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University at Albany. During her doctoral training, she conducted research in the area of alcohol and substance use among college students and facilitated group interventions for individuals in violation of the University’s drug and alcohol policies.

Brooke completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Albany Psychology Consortium (Albany Medical Center, Capital District Psychiatric Center, Stratton VA Medical Center), where she received extensive training in working with individuals diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder, gender identity issues, and cognitive impairment. Since that time, she has worked in private practice, has taught at both the undergraduate level and Master’s/Doctoral level, and has conducted psychological evaluations of individuals applying to become NYS Corrections Officers and NYS Troopers.

Brooke’s clinical interests include mood disorders, alcohol and substance use, interpersonal relationship difficulties, body image, and eating disorders.
