Nicole Theodosiou, associate professor of biology, and John Rieffel, associate professor of computer science, attended a workshop at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany. The workshop was titled “Image-Based Simulations of Morphogenesis.” Theodosiou delivered a talk, “3D Morphogenic Analysis Reveals Mechanical Forces During Formation of the Spiral Intestine in Leucoraja Erinacea.”

A paper co-authored by Theodosiou and Emmanuela Oppong ’19 was accepted for publication in Developmental Dynamics. The paper is titled “Morphology of the Developing Spinal Intestine.”

Megan Ferry, professor of Chinese, presented a paper at the Association for Asian Studies Conference. Her piece was titled, “Justice Interrupted: #MeToo, Silenced Women, and Pragmatic Discourse in China.”

Timothy Stablein, assistant professor of sociology, and Elyse Clark ’19 co-authored an article in Sociology Compass. “The Heterogeneity of Street Life and Homelessness in Contemporary Adolescent Research" explores similarities and differences among street youth around the globe.
