Sarah Mottalini is the Collections Manager/Registrar of the Permanent Collection at Union College. The Permanent Collection is a term used to describe the art collection that the College has amassed over its more than 225-year history, which includes cultural resources from internationally recognized artists and objects from ancient cultures through today. Sarah is responsible for ensuring the art is well cared for so that future generations of Union students and faculty can continue to learn and study the objects.
Sarah has previous experience at both urban and university galleries, as well as at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts, in addition to several years working in the photography field in New York City. She studied art and art history at Boston University, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the School of Visual Arts.
