Why Union:
On my college visit, the campus was gorgeous, the community was friendly and the study abroad programs were great. I received a wonderful financial aid package that sealed the deal for me.

Most inspiring class:
“Novels of Education,” taught by Professor Anastasia Pease

Also excited about:
“Manor House,” taught by Professor Andrew Burkett

Favorite study spot:
The third floor of the Nott Memorial

Three things I'm passionate about at Union:

  • The variety of different foods available
  • My English classes
  • Springtime on campus

Other passions:
Reading, writing, traveling, playing with my pet bunny Violette, going to the movies and family dinners at home.

Most surprising thing about Union:
The range of courses offered. You can take Russian, astronomy or even a course on witchcraft.

How I'm making Union a better place:
I'm not the type of person who states all that they have accomplished. That said, I think that every single student who attends Union is making the school a better place, no matter if they are part of 20 clubs or are less visible, less obvious members of the community. We are all important, and we are all making the world a better place in our own ways.

Looking into the future:
Graduate school. I want to become a middle school teacher while also taking time to write works of fiction. I’ve been writing for many years now and hope to be a published author by the time I’m 30.

Advice for incoming students:
Keep pushing yourself, even though it can be a struggle at first to find your niche at Union or to figure out what you want to do after college. Get out there and explore the opportunities placed in front of you, meet new people and take advantage of the study abroad program. Trust me, you won’t regret it for a moment.
