Players, coaches, fans, and alumni are excited for hockey’s new state-of-the-art home at Mohawk Harbor in fall 2025. Still, the move is bittersweet. This season marked the final year at Messa Rink, the heart of Union hockey for decades.
A native of Columbus and alumna of the Ohio State University, Melinda Goldner, professor of sociology, has been a Buckeye fan her whole life (which might help explain her competitive side – Buckeye fans are notoriously passionate).
This staple of the symposium has grown considerably, and this year’s exhibition includes some 250 works by more than 80 students from the 2024-2025 academic year – making it the largest, most diverse Steinmetz exhibition to date.
