This Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Exposure Control Plan (Plan) is established to eliminate or minimize employee occupational exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) and Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM) in accordance with OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030. The College is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for its employees, visitors, and campus community.
This plan applies to employees who may reasonably anticipate occupational exposure to human blood, blood components, human tissue, or human body fluids during the performance of their assigned job duties. Compliance with this plan is mandatory across some academic departments, athletic facilities, health services, research laboratories, facilities services and campus safety.
