2027 Engineering and Liberal Education (ELE) Symposium

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 & 11, 2027

Union College, chartered in 1795, is among the oldest schools in the nation. We started teaching engineering in 1845, and we were the first liberal arts college in the country to offer engineering.

Established in 2008, the Robert E. Martinson '65 Engineering and Liberal Education (ELE) Symposium brings together faculty, students, and administrators from across the United States and beyond to explore the benefits and challenges of a close partnership between engineering education and liberal education.

The 2027 symposium, co-sponsored and organized by the Templeton Institute, will be held in person in an intimate setting on our beautiful campus in Upstate New York. The symposium dates are September 10 and 11, 2027. Registration is free and all meals are included. Details coming soon !
