Health Services
Medications requiring refrigeration may be delivered to Wicker Wellness Center for storage. Packages should be addressed to Wicker Wellness Center, 807 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308. Students are responsible for shipping arrangements and should be aware of hours of operation of both the mailroom and the Health Center. Students are responsible for setting up delivery notifications to themselves and are expected to pick up their medications from the mailroom and drop them off at the Wellness Center.
All medications are logged in upon delivery. Students who self-inject will have their medication signed out.
Students who wish to have their medication administered by the Health Center staff must have a signed order from the prescribing provider on file and updated annually. The injection cannot be given without this order. Students who store their medication at the Health Center but self-inject do not need to provide a signed order.
Injections are given by appointment only. Failure to keep scheduled appointments may result in discontinuation of injection support.
Students are encouraged to learn how to self-administer their medications. Appointments can be made to reserve a room to self-inject.
Students are responsible for arrangements for injection at another location when the Health Center is closed.
The Health Center is not responsible in the event of lost or unusable medication due to unforeseen circumstances.
