Supported Hardware

Information Technology Services has standard computer configurations that are supplied to faculty and staff as defined by the Union College Technology Purchase and Replacement Policy. If your hardware needs cannot be met with one of our standard configurations, we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

The below configurations are updated yearly.

Desktop

• Dell Optiplex 7000 Small Form Factor
  • 3.0GHz 6-core Intel i5 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive
• Apple iMac 24"
  • Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive

**Desktop computers will include a monitor, keyboard, mouse and external drive for backups.

Laptop

• Dell Latitude 7440 14"
  • 3.3GHz 10-core Intel i5, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive
• Apple MacBook Pro 14"
  • Apple M2 Pro chip with 8-core CPU and 14-core GPU, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive

**Laptops include an external monitor, docking station, keyboard, mouse and external drive for backups.
