Supported Hardware

Information Technology Services has standard computer configurations that are supplied to faculty and staff as defined by the Union College Technology Purchase and Replacement Policy. If your hardware needs cannot be met with one of our standard configurations, we will work with you to find an appropriate solution.

The below configurations are updated yearly.

Desktop

• Dell Optiplex 7020 Small Form Factor
  • Up to 5.0 GHz Turbo 14-core Intel i5 14500 vPro, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive
• Apple iMac 24"
  • Apple M4 chip with 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive

**Desktop computers will include a monitor, keyboard, mouse and external drive for backups.

Laptop

• Dell Pro Plus 14"
  • Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 235U vPro® (12 cores, up to 4.9 GHz),16 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive
• Apple MacBook Pro 14"
  • Apple M4 Pro chip with 12-core CPU and 16-core GPU, 24 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD Hard Drive

**Laptops include an external monitor, docking station, keyboard, mouse and external drive for backups.
