Carson Miller Leads Union College Robotics Crew

Led by Carson Miller (EE '15), two teams of Union’s most talented engineering students were tasked with designing and building two completely autonomous robots capable of navigating a standard nine foot by nine foot maze in as short a time as possible. The UCRC entered two robots called Wall-E and Synthia in the maze competition and presented an accompanying design presentation.

Union team charges ahead with Chester’s Chariot in engineering challenge

A team of five mechanical engineering students brought home a second place trophy in endurance and finished ninth place overall with its custom-built “Chester’s Chariot” in the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge East sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
