How to Apply

Five simple things to know about Union's admission process:

  1. Union accepts the Common Application and the Coalition Application.
  2. We review applications holistically.
  3. Standardized testing is optional (except for our combined law and medicine programs as well as home schooled students). Our school code for the SAT is 2920 and for the ACT our code is 2970.
  4. There are fall and winter Early Decision options, as well as Early Action and Regular Decision.
  5. Personal interviews are strongly encouraged.

Common Application or Coalition Application?

We believe that students should be empowered at every step in the application process—including when they choose which application best suits their needs. Students are advised to choose the application option that they prefer to engage, or to discuss the options with their school counselor. We do not provide preferential treatment to applicants based on which technological platform they use to submit their application.
