How to Apply

Five simple things to know about Union's admission process:

  1. Union accepts the Common Application and the Coalition Application.
  2. Standardized testing is optional (except for our combined law and medicine programs as well as home schooled students). Our school code for the SAT is 2920 and for the ACT our code is 2970.
  3. There are fall and winter Early Decision options, as well as Regular Decision.
  4. Personal interviews are strongly encouraged.
  5. You're able to monitor the status of your application throughout the process in the Union Applicant Portal. You can view a list of which required materials are received or missing, and all admissions decisions are shared through the portal.

  • Admission to Union’s combined degree programs is connected to our application rounds. You may apply through the admission plan that best fits your goals (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision). Binding application rounds require a commitment to attend Union College regardless of the outcome of your combined degree program application.

  • All required application materials, supporting documents, and financial aid forms must be submitted by the earliest applicable deadline—whether for the combined degree program, admission round, or December 1 priority scholarship consideration.

    For example:

    • A student applying to the Leadership in Medicine (LIM) program through Regular Decision must apply by November 15.

    • A student applying to the 3+3 Accelerated Law Program through Early Decision I must apply by November 15.

    • A student applying to the Business Master's Pathway through Regular Decision who wishes to be consider for merit scholarships must apply by December 1.
