  The event commemorates the 229th anniversary of the granting of Union’s charter by the state Board of Regents, regarded as one of the first public calls for higher education.


• 34th Annual Steinmetz Symposium
  Friday, May 10, 2024
  Each spring Union highlights advancements made by student researchers through oral presentations, dance and musical performances, art showcases and poster sessions with a primary focus on senior capstone projects and thesis work. We invite you to join us for this engaging and inspiring academic symposium.
  
  
• Prize Day
  Saturday, May 11, 2024
  Prize Day is held on a Saturday in May, in Memorial Chapel. Students are honored for achievement in academics, research, service and governance. Parents and families are invited to participate in the celebration.
  
  
• Commencement
  Athletics Ceremony
  Friday, June 14, 2024
  Location: Memorial Chapel
  This is a senior student-athlete award ceremony.
  
  Baccalaureate Commemoration
  Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  Location: Memorial Chapel
  This is a ceremony that includes senior class speakers and musical performances for the graduating seniors and their guests. Tickets are not required.
  
  Commencement Ceremony
  Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 10 a.m.
  Location: Roger Hull Plaza, between Schaffer Library and the Nott Memorial

  Before heading to campus this fall, we hope you'll join us for a Union Welcome Reception. You'll be joined by other members of the Class of 2028 and their families, along with current students, alumni and College staff.
