Theme House Application & Room Assignments

Theme House Applications

We are excited to announce that the 2024-2025 Theme House Application is now available through March 5th, 2025 at 5:00PM. Theme Houses are unique living communities where students can live area around a shared common interest with their peers. Take a look at the theme houses that will be available for the 2024-2024 academic year. For more information on specific theme houses check out our theme houses.

It’s important for us to note that being a resident of a theme house is a privilege that comes with responsibility. Each resident of a theme house must support the mission of the specific house and be a positive influence on the community. This includes knowing and understanding the house constitution and being an active participant in all house activities. House activities include, but are not limited to: house dinners, house events, house chores, weekly house meetings, completion of house reviews/studies, and Theme House Consortium (THC) meetings. If residents fail to be active, involved, and contributing house members, they will not be allowed to remain in the theme house.

If you have any additional questions, email the Theme House Community Director: Kaitlyn Brooks (brooksk@union.edu).

Theme House Assignments

All students who apply to Theme Houses will have to be chosen to lived in each themes community. The student staff who work and live in each Theme House review applications and make offers to students based on the answers to their application questions.

Each student who is offered a space must formally confirm that they would like to move forward with living in the applicable theme house. Once a student accepts an offer to live in a Theme House, they are locked into that choice and will not be permitted to participate in any room selection processes.
