Residential Education
All residential College students are required to check out their spaces and return their room keys before they depart campus. Failure to return keys before leaving campus will result in replacement key charges billed directly to a student's account.
We know that each student's move-out may look a bit different depending on the move-out date, and where they are headed for the summer. Due to this, we offer two types of different check-out options for students departing from housing.
Express Check-Out
Students who wish to participate in express check-out can pick up an express check-out envelope from our office (Reamer 409) or one of our staff members in residence. Completing express checkout:
1. Follow all closing procedures listed in the move-out checklist
2. Close and lock your room door
3. Retrieve, and fill out an Express Check-out Envelope
4. Drop your key in the completed Envelope and seal it
5. Drop the full envelope in one of our Express Check-Out dropboxes (Reamer 409 or College Park Hall Lobby)
In-Person Check Out with Staff Member
Leaving Before June 14th, 2024
1. Follow all closing procedures listed in the move-out checklist
2. Schedule a check-out time with your live-in student staff member (House Manager or Community Advisor)
3. Go through damage inspection with their live-in staff member present
4. Retrieve and fill out a checkout envelope
5. Check the box on the envelope that states "Check this box if checked out w/ an RA or HM"
6. Drop the full envelope in one of our Express Check-Out dropboxes (Reamer 409 or College Park Hall Lobby)
Leaving on June 14th, 2024
Students who are leaving between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on June 14th, 2024, and wish to do an in-person check-out can visit our check-out table in the College Park Hall Lobby.
1. Follow all closing procedures listed in the move-out checklist
2. Close and lock your room door
3. Go to the College Park Hall lobby to check-out with a Residential Education Staff member
4. Complete the check-out process and return your key
Leaving on June 16th, 2024
Students who are leaving between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm on June 16th, 2024, and wish to do an in-person checkout can visit our checkout table in the College Park Hall lobby.
1. Follow all closing procedures listed in the move-out checklist
2. Close and lock your room door
3. Go to the College Park Hall lobby to check-out with a Residential Education Staff member
4. Complete the check-out process and return your key
